Choosing a web host for your writer’s website can be a daunting task. Here are two web hosts that I’ve had success with:
- GoDaddy.com
. GoDaddy.com provides a wide assortment of discount web services including several web hosting options, domain registration, a do-it-yourself website builder, ecommerce, and search engine optimization tools. GoDaddy.com offers a deluxe WebSite Tonight package for $8.95 per month that includes 10 web pages, the WebSite Tonight online website builder, 2GB of disk space, and $25 of Google AdWords credit. the $12.95 plan includes 20 pages and 4GB of space. A free domain is included with every purchase. GoDaddy.com also offers optional marketing programs as well as other web hosting plans starting at $3.95 per month if you don’t require the site-building tool.
- Yahoo! Web Hosting. Yahoo offers complete web hosting systems starting at $11.95 per month. This starter package includes your own domain name, unlimited pages, the Yahoo! SiteBuilder website building tool, built-in PayPal integration (for selling online), plus 2GB of disk space. A free three-month trial of Submitnet search engine submission is include at no charge; other marketing features are available for additional fees.
