Recycle Your Blog Content for Added Promotion Punch
Do you recycle your blog content? If not, you should. Here are six ways to get more mileage out of your existing blog content:
- Republish your content in your ezine.
- Reformat your content as tips and offer them to related websites and ezines.
- Republish your content as a podcast.
- Add your content as tips on message boards or discussion groups.
- Rewrite your content as articles that you publish on your website, in targeted publications, or on article marketing sites.
- Rewrite your content as a book (think of the “blook” concept).

Above you did not mention the possible inclusion of previously written material in an anthology. Writers should be on the lookout for requests from compilers of anthologies.
Yes, this is a great comment, Sue. In fact, the editor of an upcoming anthology for writers recently asked for reprint rights to one of my articles, so there are definitely opportunities out there.
Patrice, I’ve been wondering if I can post the same blogs in different sites. For example, on MySpace, I’ve been writing a blog on Teen Drunk Driving Prevention. I’ve received invitations to submit writing to Gather and another author’s website. Is there a rule of them about doing this?
Also, I’ve got a monitored Yahoo group, “Teen Grief Is Different.” There’s hardly any activity on it,and I’m planning to recycle my general posts from there to the MySpace Blog. What do you think? Thanks!
